מרוקו מדורגת בין 10 השווקים הפיננסיים האטרקטיביים ביותר באפריקה בשנת 2026
מרוקו secured a place among Africa’s 10 most attractive financial markets, ranking tenth with a score of 60 out of 100 in the 2026 Absa Africa Financial Markets Index. Published on October 14 by Absa Group in partnership with the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), the report points to an overall improvement in financial market conditions across much of the continent.
דרום אפריקה retained the leading position with 85 points, followed by מאוריציוס with 77 and נמיביה with 71. אוגנדה ranked fourth with 68 points, while קניה took fifth place with 65. גאנה and בוטסואנה each scored 64 points, followed by ניגריה with 63 and טנזניה with 62, completing the top 10 alongside מרוקו.
The Moroccan market’s score places it ahead of several other African economies assessed in the report, including מצרים and אסוואטיני, which each received 58 points, and קייפ ורדה, with 56. Across the 29 countries covered, 20 achieved scores above 50, reflecting varying levels of financial market development and investment readiness.
The index also highlights significant changes from the previous year. Twenty-one of the 29 markets improved their scores in 2026, while five recorded declines and three remained unchanged. קייפ ורדה registered the largest increase, gaining seven points, followed by גאנה with six and the Democratic Republic of the Congo with five. בוטסואנה, ניגריה and רואנדה each recorded a two-point decrease.
דרום אפריקה’s continued leadership reflects its relatively developed financial infrastructure and strong performance in several key areas. It scored 92 points for market depth and 90 for foreign exchange access, while receiving full marks for tax and regulatory conditions and market transparency. However, its results were less pronounced in areas such as pension fund development and the macroeconomic environment.
The 2026 index assesses the financial markets of 29 African countries, which together account for approximately 80% of the continent’s population and gross domestic product. Its methodology combines 29 quantitative and qualitative indicators with feedback from more than 40 industry participants, including central banks, stock exchanges and financial regulators.
The assessment covers six main areas: market depth, access to foreign exchange, tax and regulatory conditions and transparency, pension fund development, the macroeconomic environment, and legal standards and enforceability. Each category is scored on a scale from 10 to 100, with the overall result calculated as the simple average of the six pillar scores.
The report identifies improving macroeconomic conditions, stronger foreign exchange reserves, greater transparency and the expansion of financial products as factors supporting the broader upward trend. These developments can help markets become more accessible to investors and strengthen confidence in local financial systems, although progress remains uneven across countries.
For מרוקו, its tenth-place ranking provides a comparative measure of its position within Africa’s evolving financial landscape. The results also underline the differences between national markets and the continuing importance of regulatory quality, reliable institutions and economic stability in attracting investment.
